Welcome to the Pacific Highway upgrade website for the Iluka Road to Woodburn project. The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) is continuing with investigations to upgrade approximately 33 kilometres of the Pacific Highway between the Iluka Road turn-off and Trustums Hill Road, just south of Woodburn. Planning for this project is being funded by the NSW Government.
The preferred concept design for this upgrade was announced on Thursday, 31 July 2008. The July 2008 community update and the Preferred Concept Design Report describes the design for the upgrade and how it has been developed. The preferred concept design is a refinement of the concept design following community consultation from March 2006.
Please see the Public information section for more detail on the preferred concept design.
The Roads and Traffic Authority plans to upgrade the Devils Pulpit section of the Pacific Highway between Grafton and Woodburn at an estimated cost of $62 million. This 5km section forms part of the Iluka Road to Woodburn project.
