Welcome to the Pacific Highway Upgrade website for the Oxley Highway to Kempsey project.

The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has selected the preferred route for the upgrade of the Pacific Highway between the Oxley Highway and Kempsey. For more information see the community involvement page.

The proposed 37.8 kilometre dual carriageway between the Oxley Highway and Kempsey would significantly improve safety on this section of the Pacific Highway. Planning for the project is being funded by the NSW State Government as part of the $2.2 billion Pacific Highway Upgrade Program.

This website provides information on the development process for the project, including opportunities for community and stakeholder involvement.

Under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, a project application has been submitted to the NSW Department of Planning seeking the Director General's requirements for the environmental assessment of the project.
